The garden will be closed to the public from MONDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER for building works.
After years of delay, construction of our new garden building is due to begin in October and we have lots to do to prepare for contractors starting onsite.
We apologise for any disappointment this brings but look forward to welcoming visitors to our new facilities once works are completed.
Thanks to Catherine Miller for these.
On Friday 24th July we celebrated the completion of the garden's new 20 year lease. Sheltering under our pop-up gazebos from the torrential rain, party-goers toasted the new lease and enjoyed food from the BBQ.
Our thanks to InMidtown for sponsoring the event.
Yesterday, the garden hosted the Pendrell House 20th Anniversary Party, a bunting, balloons and BBQ affair. The youngest party-goers were entertained by Punch & Judy while thirsty elders did their best to drink 'Mark's Bar' dry. Spicy burgers were served, followed by big chocolatey slices of celebration cake. What fun!
Our apologies, but the garden will be closing early today, at noon. We will be getting ready for the Pendrell House 20th Anniversary Party. Open as usual from tomorrow.
We have finally received the new garden lease documents and trustees, in turn and as shown here, have signed them in the garden office. They are now on their way back to Camden council for the Mayoral signature and stamp. Following this, the new 20 year Phoenix Garden lease will be in place. Hooray!
You may be thinking, that after the many years invested in getting to this moment, we could have planned for a rather more picturesque setting for the occasion. Not to worry though, no doubt we'll all be getting very picturesque at the celebration party - as our gardener says, planning ahead, "I'm going to get very, very drunk!"
The Phoenix Garden AGM will be held at 7.00pm on Tuesday 13th January 2015 in the garden office.
Come along, meet the team and hear about our plans.
Refreshments will be provided!
The Phoenix Garden is up for an award from the Lloyds Community Fund. The amount the garden is awarded is dependent on the number of votes we receive. You can vote via Facebook, Twitter or directly here:
