2 December
Mandala art. We’ll create circular, concentric and balanced art work using paint and dotting tools. The repetitive patterns and focus on symmetry make it a relaxing and accessible activity. We’ll start by practicing on paper then we’ll move onto circular wooden disks. You can take your disk home of leave it with us to create a group display.
9 December – 13:00-15:00
Wander the streets of Mayfair with tour guide, Richard Cohen. Our tour will pass some of the world’s most luxurious hotels and most glamorous city squares. We will meet some of the great figures that have lived in Mayfair and the many aristocratic and distinguished individuals who have dwelt in their smart mansions here
Meet in the courtyard of The Royal Academy of Art (opposite Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly) at 13:00.
If you want to travel with Louise on the 14, 19 or 38 bus, meet at bus stop D at Cambridge Circus at 12:35.
At the end of our walk, we can take refreshments in the truly glamorous setting of the fabulous food hall of Mercato Mayfair set in the wonderful deconsecrated church of St Mark’s North Audley Street. Please note, we will not be able to consume our own snacks at the venue.
16 December
Closed for Christmas lunch at Covent Garden Community Centre.
23 December
Christmas party. Please bring festive treats to share with friends at our Christmas celebration. If you feel inspired by our selection of carols, you can take part in our Christmas karaoke.
6 January
Making lavender bags. We’ve been collecting seeds and leaves from the garden ready to make lavender bags to keep your clothes smelling fresh. We’ll sew the bags with a sewing machine then add the dried lavender and tie with a bow.
