Phoenix Garden Events
Heath & Wellbeing Workshop 15 December, 11:00-14:00.
The Health & Wellbeing session supports residents of the London Borough of Camden. We are particularly seeking to support older or vulnerable residents.
11:00-11:45 – Qi Gong with practitioner Keiko Sudo
Qi Gong is a traditional Chinese practice that integrates physical postures, controlled breathing, and focused intention to cultivate and balance Qi (pronounced “chee”), which translates to “life energy” or “vital force.”
12:00-12:45 – Meet Health Creation Mentor, Susan Salmon.
From passive disease management towards proactive health creation: A holistic approach to wellness, offering the opportunity to gain valuable insights into your own healthcare values. Susan will outline how the Health Creation Programme employs a unique assessment tool, the Picture of Health, to highlight any underlying factors which may be disrupting health and wellbeing, and how to replace this with behaviour, attitudes and practices to raise your life energy, enabling you to live life to your fullest potential.
Health Creation is used by individuals of all ages who want to regenerate their own health and wellbeing, whether recovering from illness or wanting to prevent it.
13:00-14:00 – Homeopathy with Toni Douglas-Gooden
Homeopathy is an alternative medical system based on the principles of stimulating the body’s natural healing processes using highly diluted substances. Treatment is tailored to the individual, considering their physical, emotional, and psychological state. Two people with the same condition may receive different remedies based on their unique symptoms.
Remedies are made from natural substances such as plants, minerals, or animal products. They are prepared in dilutions such as 30C (diluted 1:100 thirty times) or 200C. Homeopathy works on the principle that remedies stimulate the body’s self-healing ability rather than directly attacking disease.
This session replaces Digital Support. The workshop is funded by Camden’s Cost of Living Community Response Fund.
